tUnE-yArDs 4AD Session
My favourite new artsist of 2009 (besides Julian Plenti) is without a doubt tUnE-yArDs. I cannot get enough. She's currently signed to 4AD and recently did a live session with them. Enjoy!

Dniwer Ximer, Vol. 2
I have this on-going remix project I call "Dniwer". I got into remixing after Gentleman Reg decided to start a remix competiton. Needless to say I didn't win the competition, but that didn't stop me from not making remixes. I recently created a second volume of my remixes entitled "Vol. 2". It can be downloaded for free by visiting www.dniwer.bandcamp.com. Enjoy.

Kid Robot "Alphabet!" collection
I live in Toronto. Being from there means we get all the cool Kid Robot stuff later. On a recent excursion I becamse sort of really into their Alphabet! keychain series. I really, really like all Kid Robot keychains because a)they are so sharp looking and b)they're the only Kid Robot things I can afford. They were made in conjuction with Mike Davis. I got the letter "O" which stands for "ouch"

Clues/"You Have My Eyes Now"
Clues are a band from Montreal and are comprised of ex-members of such bands as The Unicorns and The Arcade Fire. Together they make alternative/noise/rocky music with lyrics that are chillingly genuine. I haven't heard any album as new and fresh as this one in a long time.
Their new music video for "You Have My Eyes Now" was directed by Tim Heidecker from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

"Dear Diary"
So a while ago Vice was promoting a new book by Lesley Arfin.
Anyway it's called Dear Diary and it's SO good. It's a chronical of Lesley's real diary. She delves into her experiences with drugs and sex, and even interviews the people she wrote about now to get some sort alt-girl perspective. It's incredibly well-written and dark, and funny, and a great little gem of a book!

Superjail!
So it's become a guilty pleasure of mine to watch "ADD" on G4TECH TV. Anyway, they air this comepletely absurd cartoon show called Superjail!. It's this incredibly graphic, violent, perverse, even grotesque (at times) show about this crazy-morbid-funland jail. Anyway the animation is really quite interesting and it's just another oddly dark/creepy/weird thing I'm into.

"Games For Days"
So Julian Plenti is the side project of Interpol's Paul Banks. The new record is incredibly refreshing and addictive. He has a new video for the song "Games For Days". It features Metric's Emily Haines as the leading lady! Enjoy

The Fiery Furnaces - We Have Signal
There's a show on PBS Atlanta called We Have Signal. I found out that The Fiery Furnaces were on an episode in 2007. Here's there concert below, it's pretty amazing. They have the coolest live shows as far as I'm concerned.

Reid Peppard
So lately I've become obsessed with Reid Peppard's taxidermic jewellery! He makes cufflinks, necklaces, headpieces, even coin purses out of taxidermied rodents and things. I'd love to know how he came up with such a strange/cool idea. I'm definitely debating purchasing the pigeon wing necklace!

Pictures For Sad Children
So I'm kind of really into things that are an equal combination of grim, yet funny. Pictures For Sad Children is just that. I've found myself laughing out loud to many of these morbid little treasures. Enjoy.

“Charmaine Champagne”
So The Fiery Furnaces are one of my favourite bands. They have a new video for a track off their new record and it's pretty amazing. The really cool (and really nice) Mike Reddy (whose done previous work for the band) did the artwork for it. Awesome band, awesome song, awesome video.
